The beacon project Print E-mail

It was in fall of 2008 when I got in touch with WSPR for the first time. This new digital mode immediatly fascinated me. My QTH is in a very bad location for ham radio - I always call it a burrow. With WSPR I could do DX even from my location.

Around X-MAS 08 I started to build my first wspr beacon. The idea was to develop a box that can WSPR independent from a PC and a radio. By now I think it's version 8.2 I am working on and there is much more to come.

Check the gallery to see how the project evolved. In the articles you can find details on all units including diagrams and the development plan gives some perspectives about what's in the pipeline.
